🌿April 29, Thursday, 19: 00
"Japanese Calendar Myth"

The central plot of Japanese mythology is the story of the descent of the sun goddess Amaterasu into the Heavenly Grotto, which led to darkness, cold and sadness. But the other gods managed to get her out of there, so now we all live in a world where the night does not last forever, and after a long winter, there is always light, joy and warmth.
On (we expect) a warm April evening, we will talk over a cup of tea about what other interesting stories can be found in the mythology of the Land of the Rising Sun, with Nina Voronina, a graduate of the ISAA MSU master's degree, a Japanese cultural scientist.

🌿Sunday, May 2, 19:00

The Tamarind group will create an atmosphere of peace, which will give you the opportunity to escape from your worries and listen to yourself. The program includes works based on classical ragas, compositions of his own composition, several cover versions and improvisations from Tamarind, from the heart!))

Band members:
Evgeny Zaitsev (sarod / guitar)
Mirra (violin/ vocals)
Anton Lyalin (tabla, percussion)

The history of the band "Tamarind" began in June 2018, when, as part of the celebration of the 150th anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, the Ministry of Culture of India launched a project in which musicians from different countries presented their performance of Mahatma's favorite song "Vaishnava jana to" ("Saints are not born "). The J. Nehru Cultural Center at the Indian Embassy in Moscow has invited well-known Russian musicians and those whose names are unknown to the general public, but who have long been studying Indian music and culture. Many had long-standing ties with the Cultural Center in studying music and collaborating at festivals and concert venues.
After several days of hard rehearsals, the song was recorded in the studio, and a few days later a video was shot on Red Square with Sati Casanova, Stas Namin and the band's musicians.
The second meeting took place at the opening festival of the theater "Atmasfera." Since then, the group began to perform with a repertoire that included compositions in the style of bajan, ethno-fjn, classical ragas and original works.

The cost of participation is 800 rubles (a tea party as a gift)
