Aged shu puer «Mengku Lao Shu Cha Zhuan» («Aged Tea Brick from Mengku») from Shuangjiang district (Lincang County) harvest 2014.
The 250-gram briquette, densely pressed, divided into large dark brown leaves, cuttings and buds. The aroma is intense, nutty with a bread accent. The infusion is transparent, with a dark, chestnut-red shade.
The bouquet of the ready-made tea is mature and multifaceted, woody-walnut tonality, with notes of dried fruits, spicy herbs and baked chestnuts. The aroma is deep and warm, complex. The taste is full-bodied and rich, buttery, sweetish, with a refined fruity sourness and velvety finish.
Brew tea with hot water (95°C) in a gaiwan or a teapot made of porous clay. The proportion is 7-8 g per 100 ml. The time of the first steeping is about 6-8 seconds. After that do short steeps (just for 2-3 seconds) increasing steeping time for each subsequent step, if necessary. You can steep the tea up to 10 times.
Shu puer «Mengku Lao Shu Cha Zhuan» is an excellent choice for a variety of situations and moods: rich and mellow.
