Oolong “Gao Shan Mi Lan Xiang Dan Cong” (“High elevation dan cong with aroma of honey orchid”) was made in November 2019 (medium fire).
In appearance: large, brown flagella of twisted leaves with thin cuttings. The fragrance is intensive, spicy-floral. The liquor is transparent, with a shade of white grapes.
The bouquet of ready-made tea is multifaceted and vivid, spicy-floral, with woody, citrus and berry notes. The aroma is high, spicy-floral. The taste is full-bodied and sweet, a bit spicy, with a fine woody tartness, berry sourness, delicate grapefruit bitterness transforming into the lingering finish.
Brew tea with hot water (80-90°С) in a porcelain gaiwan or in a teapot of porous clay. The proportion is 4 g per 100 ml. The time of the first steeping is about 5-7 seconds. After that do short steeps (just for 1-2 seconds), increasing steeping time for each subsequent step, if necessary. You can repeat this method up to 10 times.
“Gao Shan Mi Lan Xiang Dan Cong” is a great choice for fans of "flower" Chaozhou oolongs.
