Highly fermented oolong from Chaozhou, harvest 2023. Autumn shoots of old Milanxiang tea trees from high mountain gardens at Wudong Peak were used as raw materials.
In appearance: thin, lilac-brown flagella of twisted tea leaves. The aroma is intense, fruity-floral. The liquor is transparent, with a shade of white wine.
The bouquet of the ready-made tea is bright, multifaceted, floral and berry with notes of honey, citrus, tree resins and spices. The aroma is tender, berry-floral. The taste is dense, clean, oily, sweetish, with a gentle astringency of grape skins, berry sourness and lingering finish.
Steep the tea in a hot water (87-92°C) in a porcelain gaiwan or a porous clay teapot. The proportion is 5-6 g per 100 ml. The time of the first steeping is about 15 seconds. After that do short steeps (3-5 seconds), increasing steeping time for each subsequent step, if necessary. You can steep the tea up to 9 times.
"Milanxiang Wudong Dashu" is a great Chaozhou Oolong with a multifaceted flavor, enchanting aroma and a powerful meditative effect. An excellent choice for a gongfucha ceremony.
