Oolong «The Little Red Robe», which is called the «The Big Red Robe's younger brother», is made from the leaves of a variety bred from mother Da Hong Pao plants. The variety inherited the same family features as the «elder brother»: juiciness and elasticity of the leaf (slightly smaller in size), the ability to withstand multiple twisting and strong fire, while maintaining the fruit and floral flavor profile of the ready-made tea.
In appearance: middle-sized, lengthwise twisted brown leaves. The aroma is intensive, with notes of fried toast. The liquor is transparent, with an amber shade.
The bouquet of the ready-made tea is warm, multifaceted, with notes of spicy herbs, toasted biscuit, flowers and fruits. The aroma is deep and warm, rich in shades. The taste is full-bodied and sweet, silky, slightly tart, with fine berry sourness, mineral notes that distinguish Yancha and a lingering finish.
Brew tea with hot boiling water (90-95°C) in a porcelain gaiwan or in a teapot of porous clay. The proportion is 4-5 g per 100 ml. The time of the first steeping is about 5-7 seconds. After that do short steeps (just for 1-2 seconds), increasing steeping time for each subsequent step, if necessary. You can repeat this method up to 6-7 times.
Oolong «Yunlong Xiao Hong Pao» is a classic Yancha perfectly balanced the fiery power and the floral subtlety.
