«Tulou Lao Oolong» («Aged Oolong from Tulou Castel») is an aged tea from the Sought of Fujian province.
In appearance: small, burgundy-brown pellets of twisted tea shoots. The aroma is intensive, chocolate. The liquor is transparent, with an amber shade.
The bouquet of the ready-made tea is mature and multifaceted, with notes of dried fruits, cocoa beans, exotic wood tars, nutty biscuit, and spicy herbs. The aroma is deep and warm, woody-balsamic. The taste is full-bodied and sweet, oily, a bit spicy, with a fine fruity sourness and refreshing finish.
Brew tea with hot water (90-95°С) in a porcelain gaiwan or in a teapot of celadon or porous clay. The proportion is 6-7 g per 100 ml. The time of the first steeping is about 8-10 seconds. After that do short steeps (just for 2-3 seconds), increasing steeping time for each subsequent step, if necessary. You can repeat this method up to 7-8 times.
«Tulou Lao Oolong» is a great choice for a gongfucha style: multifaceted taste, deep aroma, relaxing effect.
