"Spring Buds of Hou Keng" is the very first spring shoots gathered on the Qingming feast (early April 2017) in the mountains of Huangshan (Anhui province), in the homeland of the famous tea "Taiping Hou Kui". Literally translated as “Purity and Clearity”, Qingming is an important calendar holiday, traditionally associated with the collection of the first tea.
In appearance: large, fluffy buds of emerald-green colour. The aroma is fresh and delicate, herbal-floral. The liquor is transparent, light greenish colour.
The brewed tea has fresh, refined, herbal-floral bouquet with delicate nutty note. The aroma is airy and tender, floral. The taste is soft, full-bodied, silky and sweet, melting on the tongue like morning dew, transforming into sappy finish.
Brewing suggestions. Brew tea with hot water (75-85°С) in a porcelain gaiwan or in glass tea ware. The proportion is 3-4 g per 100 ml. The first infusion should last for 7-8 seconds. After that make short infusions (just for 2-3 seconds), increasing the infusion time gradually. You can repeat this brewing method up to 10 times.
