Albizia julibrissin is a deciduous tree in the Fabáceae family. Tea made of its buds is called in China "a drink of immortal celestials". Traditional medicine recommends it as a sedative for nervous disorders, for normalization of digestion and to eliminate flatulence.
Dry flowers can be brewed with hot water (95°C). The proportion is 5-6 g per 100 ml. The first brew should last for 30 seconds. After that make several 30-seconds brews, increasing the infusion time, if necessary. You can repeat this brewing method up to 6-7 times.
When brewing the flowers give a transparent infusion of golden-yellow hue with tender, floral aroma and silky, fruity-sweetish taste.
