"Treasure of Spirit" grade from Chantai company, made from spring shoots of plantation tea bushes ("yuan cha"), wild tea trees ("huang shan cha") and trees from the old tea gardens ("ye fang qiao mu") in county Menghai. The meaning of the name is interpreted as "jewel - bao, which is dwelled by the spirit - lin (Lin Bao is a branch of Taoism that emerged in the early V century).
380 g teacake of medium density, effortlessly broken into strings of twisted dark brown leaves, silvery buds and long thin stems. The aroma of dry tea is moderate fruity-woody. The infusion is transparent and has an apricot hue gradually darkening in the process of brewing.
The bouquet of ready tea is bright, envigorating, multi-layered fruity-woody with notes of apricots, spicy herbs, wood resins and citrus. The taste is rich mouth-filling, a bit astringent, sweetish with a light citric sourness. It reveals itself gradually, changing from a slightly sharp rich bitterness in the first brews to a silky fruity-sweet flavour. The aroma is intense, sweet, reminding of dried fruit compote with nuances of spices. A rich refreshing aftertaste.
Preparation: brew with boiling hot water (95-100°C) in a gaiwan or a teapot made of porous clay for Sheng Pu'er. The proportion is 3 - 4 g per 100 ml. Use "pouring brewing method" (pouring water through leaves, gradually extending exposure time). The leaves can last for 10-11 brews.
