The “Longevity Brick” is an authentic kind of tea from Gaojia-xi (Anhua county, province Hunan). It contains bacteria Eurotium Cristatum (Golden Flowers or Jin Hua), which is extremely beneficial for human health. Tiny yellow globules (which are actually bacterial colonies) can be seen on the surface of tea leaves and the bigger they are, the higher is the product quality. Except for tea leaves, Golden Flowers bacteria lives on Long Life Mushrooms Fu Lin (Poria cocos).
In appearance: tea brick of 950 grams easily stratifies into big brown leaves with thin stems. The aroma is intensive, woody-balsamic. The infusion is transparent, with reddish-chestnut shade.
The bouquet of brewed tea is complex, woody-balsamic, with notes of spicy herbs and dried apples, camphor, oak moss and honey. The aroma is deep and low, woody, with herbal hints. The taste is full-bodied, soft and sweetish, with spicy nuances and refreshing finish.
Brew tea with hot water (95-100°C) in a gaiwan or a teapot made of porous clay. The proportion is 4-5 g per 100 ml. The time of the first steeping is about 8-10 seconds. After that do short steeps (just for 1-2 seconds), increasing steeping time for each subsequent step, if necessary. You can steep the tea up to 10 times.
