Oolong «Aofuhou» («Wealth fragrance») from Wudong peak (Chaozhou county, Guangdong province). It was originally named after a place in the mountains of Phoenix at an altitude of 700 meters, where maternal tea bushes grow, which is located «behind the cave», or «Aokuhou». When the variety received deserved recognition and distribution, tea growers replaced the name with the homonymous «Aofuhou». Harvest: Spring 2018. Final baking (Kao Ho): Winter 2018.
In appearance: thin, graceful, burgundy-brown flagella of twisted leaves. The fragrance is intensive, floral. The liquor is transparent, with a shade of white grapes.
The bouquet of ready-made tea is exquisite, spicy-floral, with milky, berry, woody and citrus notes. The aroma is tender and complex, spicy-floral. The taste is refined and full-bodied, silky, with fruity sweetness, pleasant woody tartness, fine berry sourness, spicy nuances and lingering finish.
Brew tea with hot water (80-95°С) in a porcelain gaiwan or in a teapot of porous clay. The proportion is 4 g per 100 ml. The time of the first steeping is about 10 seconds. After that do short steeps (just for 1-2 seconds), increasing steeping time for each subsequent step, if necessary. You can repeat this method up to 12 times.
