«Meizhan Xiao Zhong» was made in Tongmuguan (Fujian province) from the spring shoots of the Meizhan cultivar.
In appearance: thin flagella of twisted, dark brown leaves. The fragrance is deep, woody, with fruity note. The infusion is transparent, with amber hue.
The bouquet of brewed tea is bright and warm, woody, with berry and citrus notes. The fragrance is deep, woody, cold fragrance is sweet, honey. The taste is rich and refined, silky, sweetish, with fine berry tartness and citrus sourness turns to the lingering finish.
Brew tea with hot water (95°C) in a porcelain gaiwan or a teapot of porous clay. The proportion is 5 g per 100 ml. The time of the first steeping is about 5 seconds. After that do short steeps (just for 2-3 seconds), increasing steeping time for each subsequent step, if necessary. You can steep the tea up to 9 times.
The effect is warming, moderate tonic.
