The “Cui Feng” means The “Emerald Peak”. This tea was harvested at the end of autumn 2014 at the Dayuling area (Nantou district). Dayulin is mountain chain which is called in honor of legendary Great Yu who stopped the Floodwaters in the Mythological Times. These are highest tea plantations in Taiwan (2100 – 2650 meters above sea level). The clean mountain air, mineral-rich rocky soil and the strong fluctuations of day and night temperatures give birth to a totally unique tea leaf. There are few tea gardens in this area and it is possible to get here only by the narrow serpentine mountain roads, which are crumbling during rainstorms.
The dry tea leaves are large, heavy glossy balls with accurate yellow stems. They have green and blue tint. The aroma of dry tea is subtle with floral tone. The infusion is clear, with light yellow-green tint.
The bouquet of brewed tea is harmonic with spicy, herbal, floral, woody and berry tones. The taste is elegant and pure, dense and rich, amazingly soft, oily, with spicy sparkles, berry sour taste, and tender melon tone. It has majestic floral aroma. The rich aftertaste is refreshing and very long lasting.
