Tea gardens Zhangshi (Chiayi county) are located in the central mountainous part of Taiwan island in the Alishan range. "Zhangshi Oolong" is made in autumn of 2016.
The technology includes multiple twisting, light fermentation and moderate heating.
When dry, these are small bundles of blue-green tones with neat cuttings. The fragrance is sweet, spicy and floral. The infusion is transparent, with light yellow-green tone.
The bouquet of ready tea is sophisticated, complicated, spicy and floral with notes of lilac Helichrysum flowers, wood resins, milk, berries and spices. Great, spicy-floral scent. The taste is dense, soft, oily, voluminous, sweet, slightly astringent, with delicate berry acidity and nuances of spices – it shimmers and plays with a variety of light notes. Very long, clean, juicy aftertaste.
Brew it with boiling water (95 ° C) in a teapot of porous clay for Taiwanese oolong or in a gaiwan. The proportion is: 4.5 g to 100 ml. Drink it after a quick infusion, gradually increasing the exposure time. The leaves last for 12 brews.
Excellent ceremonial oolong with a divine taste and enlightening effect. Affects the perception, makes a sense of purity and serenity.
